Marginly Privacy Policy

The short version
Marginly is 100% offline-first. Everything you enter is stored only on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics and no trackers. Your data is yours, and you can back it up and restore it at any time without paying.
1. Who we are
Marginly (the "App") is an iOS app published by MaanLabs ("we", "us") that helps resellers track inventory, marketplace fees and profit. Contact: contact form.
2. Data stored on your device
The App stores the following information locally on your iPhone or iPad, using Apple's SwiftData framework:
- Items you add: title, purchase price and date, source, target price, status and notes.
- Sales you record: platform, sold price and date, fees, shipping and other costs.
- Your preferences: selected country or region, custom default platform fees, and similar settings.
This data never leaves your device unless you choose to export it. We cannot see it, and we do not receive a copy. It is not sent to or synced with any server operated by us.
3. What we do not do
- No analytics. We do not measure how you use the App.
- No trackers. We do not use advertising identifiers and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
- No accounts. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or location.
- No advertising or data-broker SDKs, and we never sell personal information.
4. Third parties
Two third parties are involved, and only for paid features:

If you enable device analytics sharing in iOS settings, Apple may provide us with anonymous, aggregated crash reports. These do not identify you.
5. Data portability and ownership
You retain full ownership of your data. The App includes a raw-data backup (JSON) that you can export and later restore. This backup and restore feature is available to every user, free or paid, and is never locked behind a paywall. If a subscription ends or you never subscribe, you can still export and restore all of your own records at any time.
Some convenience features, such as formatted CSV report export, are part of the paid plan. Your underlying data is never held back.
6. Exports and backups
Exported files are created on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet. They leave your device only if you choose to save or send them (for example to Files, iCloud Drive, email or another app). After you share a file, the service you chose is responsible for it. If your device is included in an iCloud or computer backup, the App's data may be included according to your Apple settings.
7. Retention and deletion
Your data stays on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual items and sales inside the App, or remove all App data by deleting the App. Files you exported are separate copies and must be deleted by you where you saved them. 8. Your rights
Because we do not hold your inventory or sales data, you control it directly on your device. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you, or to object to its processing. For purchase-related data processed on our behalf by RevenueCat, contact us and we will help you exercise those rights.
9. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Security
Your data is kept in the App's protected storage on your device and benefits from iOS protections, including your passcode and device encryption. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your device and any exported files safe.
11. International use
The App can be used in several regions. The region you choose in the App only controls currency, number formatting and the marketplace fee presets shown; it is not sent to us.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how the App handles data, we will update this page and its effective date. Material changes will also be reflected in the App's App Store privacy information.
